Oil and Gas Wells Down hole tool

RWA provide wide range of following down hole tools:

  • A- Drilling jars.
RWA drilling jars and intensifiers is selected to provide reliable performance in vertical, low-angle, directional, horizontal, and extended-reach applications. Our Jars can help you make an impact when your drill string gets stuck down hole. RWA Jars available in 8", 6 1/2" and 4 3/4" sizes.(Fig A) RWA provide the following types of drilling jars:
    • Hydraulic-Mechanical Jar
RWA hydraulic/mechanical drilling jar is well-suited for virtually every drilling condition. Specifically designed to overcome the limitations of purely hydraulic or mechanical drilling jars, the HMJ provides the advantages of both tools in one solution.
Offering a hydraulic delay in the upstroke and acting as a traditional mechanical jar in the down stroke, we engineered the HMJ provide consistent firing regardless of the direction or temperature down hole.
    • Double-Acting Hydraulic-Mechanical Drilling Jar
RWA double-acting hydraulic/mechanical drilling jar is a versatile jar for complex drilling applications, featuring a hydraulic upstroke and down stroke with a mechanical latch.
Similar to our standard hydraulic-mechanical jar (HMJ) in design and operation, the benefits of a hydraulic delay down stroke make the DAHMJ more effective for directional, horizontal, and extended-reach drilling. Additionally, no bleed-through operation is required when tagging or picking up off bottom, making the DAHMJ ideal for compressional placement in the drill string.
    • Double-Acting Hydraulic Drilling Jar
RWA Double-acting hydraulic drilling jar features high-yield mechanical construction, optimum protective parts material, and enhanced high-pressure sealing technology for dependable performance when jarring for extended periods.
The Double-acting hydraulic drilling jar is hydrostatically balanced, and a newly designed pressure retaining system protects the tool from the high internal pressures generated during jarring. The tool has a shorter overall length and a high maximum over pull load limit delivering high energy impacts on demand. This jar is the ideal solution for drilling and fishing applications.(Fig B)
    • Long stroke Drilling Jar
RWA Long stroke drilling jar was designed to provide control, power, and flexibility for extended drilling periods in the most demanding applications.
The jar is designed to withstand the rigors and long hours of challenging applications. Featuring an extra-long stroke length for exceptional impact and impulse forces during jarring operations, the long stroke jar offers infinitely variable trip loads up to the maximum rating of the tool. Only a minimal load required in both the up and down jarring directions—which is crucial in directional, horizontal, and extended-reach wellbores making the long stroke jar an ideal solution for modern drilling operations.
  • B- Stabilizers.
    • Integral Spiral Blade Stabilizer
Drilling stabilizer is an important tool to control hole deviation in petroleum and gas exploration drilling process. The types can be divided into drill string type and near bit type. When equipped high rigidity drill collar and bigger drill pressure, stabilizer can minimize hole deviation and avoid "dogleg" severity if being used properly. The stabilizer improve the quality of well and speed of drilling, which decrease the cost of drilling.(Fig C)
RWA Integral Spiral Blade Stabilizer is divided into Integral 3-Spiral Blade Stabilizer, Integral 4-Spiral Blade Stabilizer. Integral Blade Stabilizers are manufactured from 4145H alloy steel bar or forgings. Stabilizers are available in either near bit or string type. Connections are cold-rolled, phosphatized, coated and equipped with thread protectors. These are gauged to API standards.
      - Sizes: 6″ OD up to 36” OD
      - Standard: API 7-1
      - Material: AISI 4145H Mod, 4145H, non-magnetic material.(Fig D)
    • Reamer Stabilizers
RWA Reamer stabilizer is designed for calibrating and reaming well sections represented by medium, hard and abrasive formations. Reamer stabilizers allow reaming horizontal and high dogleg severity wells preventing accidental sidetracking and sizing wellbore to nominal diameter.
Reamer stabilizers are produced with tapered surfaces. Tapered surfaces, reinforced with tungsten carbide inserts with cutting edge, comprise reaming part of a tool. (Fig E)
The Reamer provides reaming through a simple blade design that uses proprietary Tungsten Carbide Inserts (TCI) that provide more reaming or stabilization according to the drilling and formation conditions and maintains the gauge for extended durations. TCI distribution is optimized to provide continuous reaming in longitudinal and radial directions. The PDC gauge is passive, allowing it to interact with formation only when under gauge occurs.(Fig F)
The reamer stabilizer is highly flexible being uni-directional for applications where only back reaming is required and bi-directional for applications where front and back reaming is required.
    • Roller reamer
RWA Roller Reamer TOO is a fully customizable reaming and torque-reducing tool that improves borehole shape, size and quality. It provides stabilization by the deviated hole, and reducing BHA fatigue.
Benefits for operators include longer centralizing the BHA, minimizing down hole vibrations, preventing the BHA from resting on the low side of gauge life and a reduction in NPT through more efficient reaming and back reaming compared to conventional stabilizers.(Fig G)
Available in 3-Point and 6-Point configurations with multi-stage, they can be deployed in almost every BHA as an improved alternative to conventional fixed blade stabilizers.
The 3-Point configuration can be applied in almost every BHA as an improved alternative to conventional fixed blade stabilizers.
The 6-Point configuration comprises two cartridges which add more stabilization and stiffness compared to the 3-Point version. The two types of roller reamer (3-Point and 6-Point) are available in sizes from 6" to 26".(Fig H)
